About the business

Franchising - Working For Yourself, Not By Yourself

We are currently seeking motivated individuals or couples located in Melbourne who would like to join our ever-expanding team as an Event ATM and/or Fixed ATM Business Owner.

ATM2GO was the first franchised ATM business in Australia and we are a 100% Australian-owned company. Our focus is on providing exceptional and personal service to our clients. We achieve this through a franchise network of business owners who all have a vested interest in the service they provide their clients.

If you consider yourself someone who loves talking to people, are organised and looking for a challenge, you might be just who we are after. You would be joining our team of 17 franchisees who are already enjoying a great work/lifestyle balance.

Having your own business can be very satisfying where you reap the rewards of your hard work. But on your own you need to be an expert in all aspects of your business which can leave most people feeling well out of their depth. Being part of a franchise, you have the satisfaction of working for yourself, but with the support you need, to give you every opportunity to be a success.

The key reason our franchisees invest with ATM2GO is lifestyle.

Our franchisees manage either other work commitments or enjoy a good lifestyle around managing their ATM2GO business. Most importantly you are not tied down to a shop front or fixed work hours. This leaves you with the flexibility to plan out your own week to give time and attention to what's important to you.

While 'lifestyle' is the key reason our franchisees get involved, here's a list of other good reasons to come on board

Brand Power
ATM2GO is a well recognised brand in the event and retail ATM industry. Consistency of our image across the country adds a great deal to our credibility.

Support
Support from the franchisor and from the other franchisees within the team. We provide the support in regards to marketing, administration, new equipment, spare parts and technical advice. Your fellow franchisees provide support to make sure you never feel like you are working alone; there's always someone to chat to when you are faced with challenges or need a sounding board to think through your business strategies.

Compliance
Navigating the compliance issues for the ATM Industry is a mine field, as is keeping on top of issues in the franchise sector. With our ATM industry membership and relationships, as well as our legal support for franchise issues we ensure we stay on top of the issues that affect our franchisees as they change over time.

Minimal Risk
It's risky getting into business. You need the right support from people who have 'been there, done that' already, so you don't need to reinvent the wheel to make a go of starting a business. There's plenty of small players that have given it a go who have found out it's harder than it looks. Start on the right foot and become part of the ATM2GO team.

People Power!
Our people are our competitive advantage. We are known for our friendly, reliable and professional service that our team provides. Event organisers and business owners deal with our team because they know we are local and that issues are dealt with quickly and efficiently.

We need people to join our team who are as passionate as we are about providing an exceptional customer service experience. We can teach you how to program and maintain an ATM but an outgoing personality, an ability to manage your time and the willingness to knock on doors and pick up the phone is essential.

Thinking of buying this business?

Buying a business is a big deal! It can open up a new chapter in your life, expand your growing business base or fulfill that dream you’ve always had. So before you make that offer, there’s a few things you should consider to determine whether or not this business is right for you. In a nutshell these include:

  • Ensure the seller is 100% verified by us
  • Can you afford it? Do you need financing to assist with the purchase?
  • Have you done enough research - industry analysis, competitors, revenue and so on
  • Ask the seller some questions - reasons behind the sale, will they be providing customer/supplier databases, what assets other than the physical business will be including (marketing materials etc), are their tax records and financial statements up to date and verified etc
  • Make sure it’s the right business for you!

In a nutshell, a business owner will ask you to sign an NDA before a deal can commence. This allows the business owner to keep certain information confidential, including client lists, employee information, intellectual property, trade secrets, pricing structures and so on, in case a deal cannot be met. Typically, NDAs are often mutual - meaning, just as you're agreeing to keeping the seller's business information confidential, the seller must also offer that same level of confidentiality to keep your information private.

Another thing to look out for is non-solicit provisions. If a seller has this clause in their NDA, you are prohibited from soliciting any of their clients or employees for yourself or your company for around 1-2 years.

Once you have submitted an enquiry to the seller, the seller can invite you to view confidential information about the listing after signing an NDA in order to conduct your due diligence. Once satisfied, you can make an offer directly to the seller in the Deal Room where a transaction can be done. Here you can also invite any advisors, brokers or lawyers you may have to help make the deal happen. You can even enlist Eden’s personal network of buying professionals to assist you with the entire buying process.

From start to finish, the entire business transaction can be done through the Eden Exchange platform.
