The projects main objective was to navigate through the difficult approval process to construct a 5 MW Solar Farm. The land parcel selected is approximately 10 Hectares in area and was previously used for rural activities. The great advantage to solar energy production is that its output is consistent and reliable, and relies on an infinite fuel source (sunlight). Solar energy systems/power plants may not produce air pollution or greenhouse gases. Using solar energy can have a positive, indirect effect on the environment when solar energy replaces or reduces the use of other energy sources that have larger negative effects on the environment.
