It is extremely important to protect yourself on the internet from potential scams and frauds. EdenExchange.com endeavors to ensure that all businesses and investment opportunities on our site are legitimate, but there are individuals and groups that attempts to masquerade their identities for illegal means. Please remain vigilant and research thoroughly on any business or investment opportunity you are interested in.

How do I protect myself from being scammed?

Be cautious of any one requesting in their advertisement:

  • Bank or credit card details
  • Personal information, such as date of birth, marital status
  • Tax Identification
  • Driver's license information

Avoid business seller or advertiser who asks you to:

  • Transfer, or 'wire' money using a personal bank account
  • Transfer money and retain a portion for payment
  • Pay an upfront fee for 'processing' your application
  • Promise guaranteed or very large returns
  • Start a business without any contact (either in person or by phone)

What to do if you suspect an advertisement is not legitimate?

To protect yourself it is vitally important to do your research. We suggest that at the minimum, you:

  • use our online community and public comments system to vet out unscrupulous operators.
  • Google the company and review all search results.
  • search for the company in a local business directory and call their phone number to verify the advertisement.

If you have any concerns about the legitimacy or trustworthiness of a user or advertiser on EdenExchange.com, please contact us on admin@edenexchange.com and we will investigate immediately. If you think you may have been the victim of fraud, please contact your local law enforcement agency.
